Fees and Costs
Processing a request under the IFG may incur fees, depending on the scope and effort involved in providing the information:
- Simple inquiries: Usually free of charge.
- Preparation and copies of extensive documents: Fees up to a maximum of €500 (§ 10 IFG).
- Rejection of the request: Fees up to a maximum of €30.
We will inform you in advance if any costs are expected, allowing you to withdraw your request if necessary.
Legal Remedies and Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with the decision on your request, you have the following options:
- Objection: You may file an objection within one month of receiving the decision.
- Legal Action: If the objection is unsuccessful, you can file a lawsuit with the compe-tent administrative court.
